Driving Climate Change Transformation through HEFDC’s science-based & AI solutions

During the next decades towards 2030 and beyond, HEFDC will intensify its Advocacy, Technical Assistance support, Advisory services and Capacity building to empower our clients’ capacity to address the effects of Climate Change, support climate readiness programs, navigate through steps of the climate change planning, investments, adaptability, mitigation and resilience in their daily enterprises.

Support Kenya’s achievement of Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC)

Supporting Kenya’s Climate NDC commitment of 32% GHS emissions reduction by 2030. We do this  through technical and capacity support to strengthen policy, planning to support implementing priority climate change low carbon projects and climate risk reduction targeting priority sectors such as Clean energy, land use, ecosystems and nature-based solutions, agriculture, infrastructure, transport, waste management, blue economy, water and sanitation, health, urbanization and housing, tourism  targeting  the efforts of multi-stakeholders involvements and engagement including , public sectors, civil society organizations, private sector and communities.

Support Climate Financing & Resource Mobilisation

HEFDC provides technical support and capacity building to identify various sources of funding and grants from UN, Public and private sources such as REDD+, Global Environment Facility (GEF), community afforestation, reforestation, community management of forests for carbon credits benefits. TA support areas: projects’ financing documentation, funding Concept Notes preparations, adaptation, mitigation and resilient community-based project initiatives. These include the Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation.
