Procurement & Supply Chain Management of Health Commodities

The importance of ensuring access to essential medicines has been recognized in target 3.8 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which aims to achieve universal health coverage, including access to safe, effective, quality and affordable essential medicines for all. Access to medicines has also been recognized as a crucial element of the solutions to numerous important public health problems.

Through our core team of PSM experts, HEFDC offers technical assistance to organizations/institutions in the review and development of procurement and supply chain management (PSM) plan which includes the following components: management capacity; procurement policies and systems; quality assurance/quality monitoring; international & national laws; coordination; and Management Information Systems.

We give technical assistance services to organizations/institutions to strengthen procurement and supply management capacity in storage and distribution system.
