Expertise in leveraging QGIS, DHIS2, and HMIS to enhance health data analytics, service planning, and decision-making. Skilled in training multidisciplinary teams, optimizing data accuracy, and leading digital health transformation projects.

Experience & Contributions:

Health Data System Improvements: Led the transition from DHIS1 to web-based DHIS2 in 55 counties in South Sudan. Designed and rolled out standardized HMIS tools, strengthening data collection and availability across 196 facilities in Somalia, and modernized health data systems in 23 districts in Kenya through the Kwale Model HMIS Digitalization Project. Spearheaded the ICD-10 digitalization pilot in Mombasa for automated disease classification analysis.

GIS mapping & spatial analytics: Developed multi-thematic health service maps for program logistics, drug distribution, and performance monitoring in South Sudan, as well as led QGIS mapping of 4,000+ Boma Health Workers distributed across the 55 counties; Improved GIS data accuracy for 10,000+ health facilities in Kenya’s DHIS2 and Master Facility Lists.

Health Workforce Capacity Building in Data Use: Led the Meaningful Use of ICT (MUICT) training for 1,305 health staff at facility level in Kenya, enhancing digital health adoption. Supervised training for 200+ Organisational, MOH and partner staff in DHIS2, M&E, and data analytics in South Sudan. Oversaw training of 1,700+ health staff in Kenya on integrated HMIS tools, supporting national adoption. Trained 30+ HMIS officers in Somalia, improving data management and service utilization tracking.
