Malaria Therapeutic Efficacy and Malaria Research
Based in Kenya, is pursuing a PhD. Molecular Medicine, holds an MSc. Medical Biochemistry focused on Anti-malarial Drugs resistance, and a BSc. Biomedical Science and Technology. He has worked as a Research Scientist with Kenya medical Research Institute for over 15 years. He is currently the Senior Research Scientist and Head of Malaria Section CBRD – Kenya medical Research Institute.
Some of the work he has done include:
* 2019: Principal Investigator, WHO – Efficacy of ACTs in the management of uncomplicated malaria in children from selected endemic counties in Kenya.(Submission) 2017-2018: Co-Principal Investigator, KEMRI IRG – Mapping emerging infectious diseases (Malaria) in selected sites in Kenya within the context of climate change.
* 2017-2022: Co-Principal Investigator, KEMRI IRG – Prevalence of Genetic Variability in Pfhrp2 and Pfhrp3 and the impact on Malaria Diagnosis in Kenya.
* 2016: Principal Investigator, KEMRI IRG – Efficacy of ACTs in the management of uncomplicated malaria in children from selected endemic counties in Kenya.
